Welcome. All One Dharma is a Buddhist sangha that formed in 1997 when a group of friends decided to meditate together and invite any one else who was interested to join them. Over the years, All One Dharma has evolved into a diverse and supportive group, comprised of meditators of different ages and backgrounds. While most of us practice some form of Vispassana meditation, no particular Buddhist philosophy or teacher guides the group. Instead, we draw upon the wisdom and experience of the group as well as a variety of Buddhist teachers ranging from Thich Nhat Hanh to Jack Kornfield to Shinzin Young. Our purpose is to support each other's practice and explore the dharma. Ultimately, we endeavor to bring to our daily lives all that we learn by meditating and discussing the teachings together. |

* Silent Meditation Practice is a simple and direct practice - the moment-to-moment investigation of the mind/body process through calm and focused awareness. Learning to observe experience from a place of stillness enables one to relate to life with less fear and clinging. Seeing life as a constantly changing process, one begins to accept pleasure, pain, fear, joy, and all aspects of life with increasing equanimity and balance. As insight deepens, wisdom and compassion arise.
** Metta Meditation (Loving kindness) is a simple and direct practice that begins to open the heart to oneself, to others, and to all of life. Metta was taught by the Buddha as a method to develop tranquility and concentration, as a way to work with anger and fear, and as a means to experience the interrelatedness of life.
